Renew Your Housing Register Application
We introduced the new Dorset Council Housing Allocation Policy on 1 September 2026.
If you joined the Housing Register before 1 January 2026, you must renew your application if you wish to remain on the housing register. If you have not done this yet, please complete your renewal by 21 September 2026.
If you do not renew by this date, your application will be closed.

If you are homeless within the next 7 days or are homeless now, you should ring our advice number on 01305 221000 urgently
Here you will be able to:
- apply for social housing
- register as homeless
- tell us about your current housing situation
- tell us about a change in circumstances
Before you start your application you will need to create an account, this means you will need an email address. Once you have created an account you will receive a confirmation email. You will then be able to apply for help with your housing.
